Types and differences of vacuum grinders

- Classification by mobility:

- Mobile vacuum grinder: This type of vacuum grinder is usually equipped with wheels or casters at the bottom, which is convenient for moving in the workshop and can be flexibly adjusted according to different work areas and processing requirements. It is suitable for scenes where the work site is not fixed and the processing position needs to be changed frequently, such as small processing plants or maintenance workshops. Its advantages are strong mobility and convenient use; its disadvantage is that compared with the fixed type, the stability of its overall structure may be slightly weaker.

- Fixed vacuum grinder: It is fixedly installed in a specific working area and is generally directly connected to the fixed facilities of the workshop, such as the ground or workbench. It has very good stability and can maintain a good working condition during long-term work. It is suitable for large-scale processing workshops, batch production and other scenes with high requirements for processing accuracy and stability. However, once the fixed vacuum grinder is installed, the position is relatively fixed and difficult to move at will, and there are certain requirements for the spatial layout of the workshop.

- Classification by vacuuming method:

- Dry vacuum grinder: It is mainly used to absorb dry dust and debris, such as metal chips, grinding wheel dust, etc. Its filtration system is usually designed for dry substances, which can effectively filter and collect dust to prevent dust from flying and causing harm to the working environment and operators. This type of vacuum grinder is widely used in mechanical processing, metal processing and other industries. For example, in cast iron processing, steel cutting and other processes, dry vacuum grinders can play a good role.

- Wet vacuum grinder: While vacuuming, water or other liquids will be sprayed to mix dust and liquid to form a muddy substance, which is then collected and processed. Wet vacuum grinders are suitable for some processing processes that are prone to generate a lot of dust and dust is easy to fly, such as stone processing, ceramic processing, etc. Water spraying can effectively reduce the flying of dust, reduce air pollution, and also reduce the risk of dust explosion. However, wet vacuum grinders need to regularly handle the collected mud, and the maintenance and maintenance of the equipment are relatively complicated.

- Classification by power size:

- Low-power vacuum grinder: The power is generally around a few hundred watts to one kilowatt, suitable for small grinders or scenes with small processing volume. Its advantages are low energy consumption and low noise, which is more suitable for some places with high requirements for the working environment. However, the suction force of low-power vacuum grinders is relatively small, and the absorption capacity for heavier or larger dust particles is limited.

- High-power vacuum grinder: The power is usually above one kilowatt, with strong suction, and can quickly and effectively absorb a large amount of dust and debris. It is suitable for scenes that generate a lot of dust such as large grinders and heavy machinery processing. However, high-power vacuum grinders have high energy consumption, large equipment size, and relatively high prices.

Material and characteristics of filter element

- Polyester fiber filter element:

- Features: The filter element of this material has a large filtering area and a smooth surface, which can filter fine dust. It has good air permeability, which allows air to pass smoothly while ensuring the filtering effect, reducing the working resistance of the dust collector. In addition, the cost of polyester fiber filter element is relatively low, and the replacement cost is also relatively economical. However, the high temperature resistance of polyester fiber filter element is poor, and it is easy to deform or damage in a high temperature environment, so it is not suitable for filtering high temperature dust.

- Polytetrafluoroethylene coated filter element:

- Features: It has the characteristics of waterproof, oil-proof and high temperature resistance, and can maintain good filtering performance in harsh working environments. For some dust containing moisture, oil or high temperature, the polytetrafluoroethylene coated filter element has good adaptability. At the same time, the filtering accuracy of this filter element is high, which can effectively filter out tiny particles and ensure the high cleanliness of the discharged air. However, the price of polytetrafluoroethylene coated filter element is relatively high, and it is necessary to avoid scratches by sharp objects during use to avoid affecting its filtering effect.

- Glass fiber filter element:

- Features: The glass fiber filter element has high strength and good high temperature resistance, and can withstand high working temperatures and high working pressures. Its filtering accuracy is also very high, and it has a good filtering effect on tiny dust particles. The glass fiber filter element has a long service life. If used and maintained correctly, it can be used for a long time without frequent replacement. However, the glass fiber filter element is brittle and needs to be handled carefully during installation and use to avoid collision and extrusion, otherwise it is easy to be damaged.
